Three sons of the High Council of State (HoR) member, Hamid Barekow were killed on Monday by unidentified gunmen, who opened fire on their car in Murzuk city south of Libya.

Unidentified gunmen riding an unmarked vehicle with tinted windows shotgunned all three brothers, killing two of them on the site, while the other died later of his wounds in hospital, according to local sources.

The town of Murzuk and other cities in the south have been witnessing a surge of violence and acts of reprisal since the take over of Hafter's militias of the region in February.
