The staff of the Tobruk Medical Centre staged a protest on Sunday to denounce the delayed execution of a decision issued by the Government of National Unity to raise the salaries of medical staff.

"A large number of medics have been working in the center for years while seeing no improvement in their salaries," the protesters said.

They argued that the decision to increase salaries was implemented for some sectors and postponed for others "for an unknown reason."

Tobruk's staff warned that they would suspend work at the health centre if their demands are not met.
