Tobruk authorities have released the Italian fishing trawler that had been detained since Sunday, according to an official at Sicily.
He also confirmed that the trawler is en route back to Italy.
Pro-Haftar's forces Chief of the base, Naji Bu Aliwiya said on Sunday that a patrol boat for the Tobruk naval base in eastern Libya intercepted an Italian ship along with a Greek one in the Libyan waters.
