Minister of Interior Imad Trabelsi met with the Deputy Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to Libya, Stephanie Koury, on Wednesday to discuss preparations for securing the upcoming presidential and municipal elections.
The meeting also focused on the UN mission's support for achieving security, stability, and state-building in Libya.
According to the ministry's media office, discussions covered illegal migration and its impact on the security and economic situation in Libya and other countries.
The meeting emphasized supporting the Ministry of Interior's security efforts to combat this phenomenon while avoiding any interventions that could disrupt the security situation and hinder progress towards complete stability in the country.
