The Ministry of Local Governance has launched a six-day training program for newly elected mayors and municipal council members to enhance their administrative skills and familiarize them with local governance laws.

The program began on Saturday at the Center for Municipal Development and Decentralization Support in Tripoli's Bab Bin Ghashir district.

Participants will learn about the legal framework for local governance, the roles and responsibilities of municipal councils, and procedures for conducting council meetings.

They will also be trained to use the Ministry’s electronic systems, including those for local correspondence, revenues, sanitation, and project management.
