The Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE) has confirmed that the Tripoli Court of Appeal ruled on the validity of the Council of Ministers’ decision regarding the adoption of the list of foundations and controls for municipal council elections.
Director of the Information Office of the Central Committee for Municipal Council Elections (CCMCE), Nader Al-Ratimi, explained to the Fawasel platform that based on the court’s ruling, all elections carried out by the CCMCE, in accordance with these regulations, are valid.
The Tripoli Court of Appeal had previously ruled to temporarily halt the implementation of Council of Ministers Resolution No. 519 of 2022 until the matter is decided.
