North African Internet Governance Forum

The North African Internet Governance Forum has been launched in Tripoli, with Libyan, Arab and international participation.

The participants total about 250, including professors and experts in information technology and Internet.

The 7th edition of the forum, which will continue for 4 days with the participation of 6 Arab countries, aims to create awareness among Internet users to avoid risks.

Khaled Ghulam, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Forum, said that the forum would cover various themes such as; clean internet, free of violence and hate speech. Themes on preserving Libyan digital identity and how to develop it in the future, as well as aspects of cybersecurity, will also be addressed.
