Tripoli Security Directorate announced on Saturday the arrest of 45 people in one week, wanted in connection with various crimes.

The Directorate explained on its Facebook account that the Criminal Investigation Office in Tripoli managed, from May 25 to May 31, to apprehend 45 persons wanted by police stations of Tripoli Security Directorate, public prosecution offices and other parties outside the directorate's jurisdiction.

The arrested individuals are accused of various unlawful acts from theft, fraud, assault, threats to kill, abuse, job abuse, and kidnapping, it added.

The Directorate said that those arrested were referred to the relevant police stations, in preparation for their transfer to the Public Prosecution.
