The administration of Al-Hasawnah water system of the Man-made River said Sunday that water supplies have been restored to the capital Tripoli since Saturday.

In a statement, the administration said that work is going on smoothly and the supply rate will continue to increase gradually for three days until the water returns to its normal rate.

The main control room earlier confirmed the reopening of the valves, which were closed by an armed group loyal to the former regime, without giving details of how they ended the crisis, which came in a surprise and without previous introductions.
