University of Tripoli announced, on Saturday, the suspension of studies and exams in all its faculties due to armed clashes in the capital.
However, a number of education offices in Tripoli said that they are waiting for the decision of the National Examination Center and the Ministry of Education regarding the conduct of the secondary certificate exams, stressing that if the clashes continue as they are, the secondary certificate exams will be postponed in order to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
The spokesman for the Ambulance and Emergency Service, Osama Ali, confirmed earlier, that "there are civilian casualties as a result of the clashes in Tripoli," noting that it was difficult to move in few areas.
