US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on several countries around the world, including Libya and a number of Arab nations.
According to the lists published by the White House on X, Libyan exports were subjected to a 31% tariff, while Libya imposes a 61% tariff on its imports from the United States.
Trump said that these measures would lead to the return of jobs and factories to the United States, calling on people to start buying American products.
