The Tunisian Foreign Minister, Othman Al-Jarandi confirmed his country’s eagerness to cooperate in every constructive way possible to find methods to assist the Human Rights Council (HCR), and the efforts of the United Nations to achieve peace and stability in Libya.

This came in a meeting with the head of the Independent International Fact-finding Mission in Libya, Mohamed Aujar, at which he reiterated Tunisia’s readiness to provide both technical and logistical support to the mission’s team and to further provide it with an appropriate accommodation environment.

For his part, the head of the fact-finding mission indicated that he would be prepared to submit his first official report to the HRC during the 48th session of the HRC in Geneva, due to be held from September 13, through until October 8, 2021.
