Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has affirmed that there is a consensus of views between Turkey and Algeria on a number of regional issues, especially Libya.

This came during a joint press statement by Çavuşoğlu and his Algerian counterpart, Ramtane Lamamra on Saturday, after talks they held in the Algerian capital on regional and international issues such as Libya, Tunisia and the Sahel region.

In his speech, Çavuşoğlu affirmed that he had made, in cooperation with his Algerian counterpart, important contributions to achieving peace and stability in the region, stressing the importance of Algeria's role to achieve this.
