Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has pledged continued cooperation with Italy to support long-term stability and prosperity in Libya.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Rome alongside Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, President Erdoğan said the two countries would continue to work together to find sustainable solutions for the North African state.

“Turkey and Italy will maintain close coordination to ensure stability and development in Libya,” Erdoğan said, according to Anadolu Agency.

Meanwhile, PM Meloni reiterated Italy’s commitment to supporting reconstruction and lasting peace not only in Libya but also in Gaza and Syria.
