Turkish Airlines has officially resumed direct flights to and from Benghazi after a suspension of over ten years. The first flight took place on Tuesday, with the event attended by the airline’s General Manager, Bilal Ekşi, and several officials from the Turkish embassy.
The resumption of flights follows an earlier announcement by the Turkish Ambassador to Libya, Güven Beğiş, during his visit to Benghazi.
Ambassador Beğiş also announced plans to open a Turkish consulate in Benghazi soon, highlighting the significance of strengthening bilateral relations.
