Turkish Defence Minister, Hulusi Akar emphasized that Ankara will continue to support its brothers in Libya until peace and security are achieved.

At a ceremony for launching a new Turkish-made submarine on Sunday, Akar said that the two memoranda of understanding concluded with Libya are of strategic importance in terms of protecting the rights and interests of both countries.

He stressed that Turkey will continue to work with Libya in the framework of security and military cooperation, underscoring the long-standing historical, cultural and economic affinities and links among the two nations.
