Turkey's Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, revealed that Turkey's relationship with Libya is progressing positively, emphasizing efforts to unify the country between its eastern and western regions.
In an interview with Sky News, Fidan confirmed ongoing communications with Khalifa Haftar and discussions with his sons. He also highlighted that the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, has made multiple visits to Turkey.
"Egypt shares the same position, considering Libya's stability crucial for regional stability", Fidan said, indicating that Turkey is collaborating with Qatar and the UAE to achieve lasting peace in Libya.
Earlier, Fidan stated that Turkey and Egypt are in complete agreement on the unity and full sovereignty of Libyan territories, emphasizing their cooperation in seeking diplomatic solutions to stabilize Libya before the situation deteriorates further.
