The Turkish Karanfil Group announced on Saturday plans to expand its investments in Libya in the field of health following the opening of the first Turkish-Libyan hospital.

The group's chairman, Mortada Karanfil, said in a statement that his company showed positive performance in its exports to Libya during 2022.

"The Turkish-Libyan hospital, which opened in the city of Misrata last November, is one of the most important projects of the group in Libya during 2022 as it is the first of its kind, Karanfil said, adding that this would pave the way for other Turkish investments in the health sector.

He revealed plans to expand their activities and build other hospitals across Libya if stability prevails in Libya in 2023, stressing that they are optimistic about the future in Libya.
