The Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed the continuation of training, assistance, cooperation and military advisory activities with the Libyan government.

The official in charge of information at the Turkish Ministry of Defense, Pinar Kara said, during a press conference, that Turkey came to Libya based on a memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed with the legitimate government, noting that the continued presence of Turkish forces comes within the bilateral agreements between both countries.

Kara indicated that Ankara is open to dialogue so as to maintain peace and stability in the region, to solve problems and to preserve Libya’s unity and sovereignty.
