The National Safety Authority reported that two young girls drowned on Wednesday in the city of Bani Walid after being swept away by floods caused by heavy rainfall.
According to local sources in the city, the body of 12-year-old Amani Al-Kamiai was recovered after the tragic incident. Her cousin, 6-year-old Ibtihaj Al-Kamiai, was found after an extensive search.
The search operation was carried out by the search and rescue team from the Support and Assistance Center of the National Safety Authority, in cooperation with the Marine Rescue Directorate, along with participation from local residents.
