Authorities have recovered two unidentified corps from the Souq Al-Khamis area, some 53 km southeast of Tripoli.
The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons said they received calls reporting the possibility of some human remains found inside a manhole used for access to the water system.
The authorities dispatched a team to the site to exhume the bodies after confirming the report in the presence of the Public Prosecution office.
The General Authority for Search and Identification of Missing Persons said that inquiries into other reports remain ongoing.
