The Presidential Council said on Thursday that British Ambassador Martin Longden praised the measures taken by its head, Mohammed Menfi, to ease tensions and achieve a settlement that would bring stability to Tripoli.
This came during a meeting held in the capital, where both sides discussed the recent military and security developments in the city.
According to a statement from the Presidential Council, the meeting centered on the council’s role as supreme commander in continuing to uphold the ceasefire, protecting public and private property, and putting an end to provocative actions by all parties and military groups.
