The UK Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall, has renewed her country's support for the planned elections, praising the efforts undertaken by the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in preparing for the electoral process.
Hurndall's remarks came at a meeting with the Head of the HNEC, Emad Al-Sayeh, in Tripoli.
The two sides reviewed aspects of support and technical cooperation directed through the UN mission and exchanged views on establishing internationally recognized standards and principles regarding the conduction of elections.
