The British Embassy in Libya has confirmed that oil and gas is a vital sector for the Libyan economy, adding that “Libya has huge potential for renewable energy, particularly with solar and wind”.
“The UK wants to work with Libya to develop renewable projects to improve electricity provision across the country”, it said on its official Facebook page.
