The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Ghassan Salame, said that army and police institutions, the Central Bank of Libya and other institutions should be unified as soon as possible.

According to the official Facebook page of UNSMIL, Salame stated during a meeting with a group of academics and journalists on Wednesday in Tripoli that there are inactive institutions in Libya that should be reactivated, especially in the economic and social fields.

He also stated and that there are institutions that have been hijacked by those who are currently managing them, which must change in order to serve the Libyan citizen.

He added that he is communicating with all the Libyan people to help him identify a plan for the Libyan issue.
