The UN Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, has introduced his deputy for political affairs, Stephanie Williams, to the Chairman of the Presidential Council Fayez Sarraj.

"The meeting discussed the latest developments since the events of the oil crescent crisis and ways to move ahead with the UN plan of action," the UN mission tweeted.

Williams has officially taken up her duties as Deputy of the Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya Saturday after being appointed by the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
