The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, said that he is keen to hold the National Conference without the exclusion of anyone when the necessary conditions are created.

"The Mission will not deviate from its commitment to hold the National Conference, which will be a step towards a settlement leading to the unification of political and economic institutions," Salame stated, stressing that their priorities now are to stop the war and escalation and give precedence to wisdom and dialogue to address the fractures of the international community's position, after the recent events.
