The Acting Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Stephanie Koury, held talks in Tunis with Chinese Charge d’Affaires to Libya, Liu Jian.
The meeting focused on key aspects of Libya's political process and stressed the need for broad national consensus to support a Libyan-led initiative, facilitated by the United Nations.
In a statement, UNSMIL highlighted that both sides reaffirmed the international community’s united backing for UN efforts and emphasized the importance of unifying and strengthening Libya’s state institutions.
