The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, said on Monday that the significance of his roaming between the Libyan cities is to communicate directly with the residents and listen to their opinions and advice, so as not to remain exclusive to some without others.

Salame said during a meeting in Gharyan on Monday with representatives from the municipality, local institutions, members of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, that the direct communication with people of the country in their cities, towns, universities, institutions and hospitals is “the oxygen I breathed in my work” so as not to stay exclusive to small groups, adding that this was the reason he was in Gharyan.
