The Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Aeneas Chapinga Chuma, has met with the Japanese Ambassador to Libya.
According to the United Nations Office in Libya, the meeting comes within the framework of the Chuma introductory meetings to discuss development priorities in Libya, indicating their agreement on the importance of working throughout the country for the benefit of all people in Libya.
Chuma assumed the position of Acting Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, United Nations Resident Coordinator, and Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya at the beginning of this month, succeeding Canadian Georgette Gagnon.
