The UN's Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs in Libya, Stephanie Koury, and Pasquale Ferrara, Italy's Director General for Political and Security Affairs, held discussions on the ongoing crisis in Libya during a meeting in Rome.
The talks focused on the persistent issues surrounding the Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and the closure of key oil fields, which continue destabilising the country.
According to Koury, the discussions emphasised the importance of maintaining the unity and legitimacy of Libya's state institutions. Both parties reiterated that dialogue is the only viable solution to Libya's deepening political and economic challenges.
