The Spokesperson for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Farhan Haq, said that no specific name has been proposed to replace the former UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis, who resigned two months ago, noting that the most important task now is to achieve elections in Libya.

Haq added in a press conference held on Tuesday that Stephanie Williams, the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libya, continues to work towards achieving the goal of the elections, and any new developments on the matter will be announced as soon as it occurs.

Haq confirmed that Williams does not play the role of the head of the UN mission or lead it, but rather she is doing advisory work to direct the international movement in Libya.
