The UN Special Envoy to Libya, Hanna Tetteh, has reiterated the organization's commitment to stabilizing the country and facilitating long-awaited elections.
During talks in Tripoli with Musa Al-Koni, Vice President of Libya’s Presidential Council, Tetteh emphasized the importance of dialogue with all political actors to resolve the ongoing deadlock and pave the way for free and fair elections.
Al-Koni, in turn, stressed the necessity of decentralization, advocating for a return to a governorate system to distribute resources more equitably.
He asserted that lasting stability in Libya hinges on a transparent electoral process with results accepted by all factions.
