The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya has supervised training courses for judicial police trainers from 11 municipalities, on the skills of using the standard operating procedures that protect the inmate rights.

“The event provides participants with opportunities to exchange views on how to improve performance inside prisons according to the best international standards”, the UNDP said on its official Facebook page.

This comes in cooperation between the Libyan Ministry of Justice, the UNDP and the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) to enhance rule of law and rights-based approaches in the judiciary system with support from Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and the United States.
