The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) announced the return of a boatload of migrants to Libya on Tuesday night, consisting of almost 80 individuals, the majority of whom were from Gambia and Cameroon.

The UNHCR said that the migrants disembarked in the early hours of Wednesday morning at the Tripoli Naval Base.

The Commission also confirmed that the Libyan Coast Guard seized another boat on Tuesday, with more than 30 people on board and redirected it to the Tripoli Naval Base, adding that most of the surviving migrants were from Bangladesh.
