The Municipal Council of Ghat said that the Libyan Relief Agency, in coordination with the emergency committee, is working to establish camps for the victims of floods that hit the city last Monday.
The camp will be equipped with relief items including family tents, mattresses, blankets, drinkable water, kitchen sets, solar lanterns, plastic sheets and clothes provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
"The camps will be fully equipped after receiving the required materials, and our teams on the ground will inspect the appropriate locations within the municipality for setting up these camps," Ghat Municipal Council stated yesterday.
