The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has disclosed that it had transferred 124 migrants from Libya to the Emergency Transit Centre in Niger.

UNHCR explained during a press conference on Tuesday in Misurata, that this was the last flight ahead of the year, among many other flights it had conducted in 2019.

It confirmed that it would continue efforts to bring more vulnerable refugees to safety in the coming months.

It also pointed out that the year 2019 was difficult in terms of working in Libya, due to the current conditions witnessed since the start of the military operations last April.
