UNICEF has reported that 5,937 children in Derna and other flood-affected areas have returned to school, with more than 128,000 children receiving psychological and social support.
Marking the anniversary of Storm Daniel, the organization revealed that over 500,000 people, including many children, have accessed healthcare services. Additionally, some 152,000 people, among them 46,000 children, now have access to clean water.
The organization further emphasized that over two million people have been reached through campaigns focused on waterborne disease prevention and hygiene practices. The agency has also provided humanitarian aid to 100,000 people in Derna and its surrounding areas.
