The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has affirmed its commitment to continue supporting the Government of National Unity (GNU) in confronting the Coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, the organization also stressed the importance of vaccinations reaching Libya to limit the spread of the epidemic, reiterating its continued support for the safe distribution of vaccinations, communicating about risks and community participation.

It also indicated that nearly one million people received at least one vaccine dose, with a weekly vaccination rate of up to 100,000 people, explaining that it is working in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the rest of the partners to receive and distribute Coronavirus vaccinations in Libya.

UNICEF explained that it is focusing on supplying refrigerators to various municipalities, distributing vaccines, raising awareness about vaccination and providing protective equipment against Coronavirus, expressing its hope that the campaign will contribute to supporting Libya's efforts to restore normalcy.
