UNICEF says its teams provided psychological and social support to 6,000 children following the Derna flood disaster.
In a statement to mark International Children’s Day, the organization highlighted the challenge that loss and displacement pose to the fundamental rights of children, reiterating the importance of protecting their lives and ensuring their development.
UNICEF also reported that it provided health services to 134,000 people in Libya and supplied 75,000 litres of clean water to the region.
