An unknown gang stole 600 meters of electrical wire from the lines feeding a cement factory in Zliten city at dawn on Saturday.

In a statement issued by the General Electrical Company of Libya (GECOL), they explained that the theft of this wire has led to the loss of electricity to more than 25 transformers and the interruption of electricity supply for large areas of farms and neighborhoods, both residential and industrial located in western Zliten.

GECOL once again appealed to the security authorities in that region to develop a radical solution in order to eliminate these acts, which threatens the collapse of the electrical grid.
