The Advisory Committee formed by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) resumed its meeting in Tripoli on Tuesday, following two meetings held in the city last week.
Twenty members of the committee engaged in discussions on the committee’s operational terms and rules during Sunday and Monday’s meetings, which the UNSMIL described as productive.
They also addressed key issues related to the electoral framework and the formation of a government.
During the meeting, Stephanie Koury, the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General in Libya, regarded the Advisory Committee as an important component of the comprehensive Libyan political process, tasked with providing concrete proposals to address these issues.
