The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has announced the launching of the "Libyan Women's Platform," a private group for women on Facebook managed by a team from UNSMIL. The launching coincides with International Women's Day.
UNSMIL said on its website that this platform serves as a space to promote the role of women in various fields, support their rights, and engage them in the political process and its different tracks.
It stressed that the platform provides a space for exchanging views on challenges and possible solutions while fully respecting Libyan values, culture, principles, and local and international legislation related to women.
