The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has discussed with representatives from various Libyan political parties to discuss advancing a political process aimed at resolving the current deadlock and paving the way for elections and the unification of state institutions, during a meeting in Benghazi on Monday.
The meeting participants shared their views on addressing the Libyan crisis, emphasizing the importance of inclusive participation from all segments of Libyan society.
They also highlighted the need for guarantees to ensure the successful implementation of the upcoming political process outcomes, according to the UNSMIL X platform page.
Through these meetings, the UNSMIL seeks to launch the faltering political process in Libya, in light of the inability of the political parties to agree on the necessary steps to move forward in the political process.
