The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) announced the arrival of the new UN Resident Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya, Aeneas Chuma,, succeeding Canadian Georgette Gagnon, who left the mission a few days ago.
UNSMIL said on its Facebook page that Chuma "will act as Acting Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Libya."
It confirmed that the new coordinator arrived in Tripoli to lead the UN development and humanitarian team in the country.
