US Special Envoy to Libya, Ambassador Richard Norland, has reaffirmed Washington's commitment to working with the African Union and Libya's Presidential Council to support ongoing national reconciliation efforts in the country.
During a meeting held on Thursday in Tunisia with African Union Ambassador Wahida Ayari, Norland discussed the progress of the reconciliation process in Libya.
He highlighted the urgent need for a comprehensive national reconciliation to address the current political climate, which he described as essential for achieving lasting stability in Libya.
In a statement shared by the US Embassy on its "X" account, Norland underscored the importance of moving forward with these efforts, affirming that they will establish the essential groundwork for lasting peace in the country.
