A government delegation headed by Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Adel Jumaa met on Friday with the Chargé d'Affairs of the US embassy in Libya to discuss financial transparency and fighting corruption in Libya.

The US embassy said that Washington looks forward to building on this meeting, which it described as "important."

"We agreed that Libyan revenues belong to all of its people and must be distributed transparently and with accountability." The embassy added.

The government delegation included Minister of Transport Muhammad al-Shhoubi, Minister of Local Government and Interior Badr al-Din al-Toumi, Minister of Planning Muhammad al-Zaydani, and Minister of State for Political Affairs Walid al-Lafi.
