Weatherford American Oil Services has officially resumed operations in Libya, after more than a decade-long hiatus, starting from its new headquarters in the Hay Al-Andalus area of Tripoli.
Richard Ward, the company’s Deputy CEO, confirmed the resumption during a meeting with Masoud Suleiman, Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), on Tuesday morning in Tripoli. According to an NOC statement,
Ward expressed Weatherford’s strong commitment to re-engage with Libyan oil companies, saying hat the company is fully prepared to deliver its services directly from the field, with initial operations set to begin at the Jalu 59 site.
