The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has confirmed its readiness to provide support to the High National Elections Commission (HNEC) in the field of managing and implementing the elections to enhance its readiness to achieve the Libyan elections.

USAID's representative, John Cardenas, and his deputy, Nathan Park, visited the HNEC HQ, on Wednesday, as part of the international community's support for the democratic process in Libya, according to the HNEC website.

For their part, members of the HNEC expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the international community aimed at ending the transitional period through a transparent electoral process for a stable democratic state.
