The UN Secretary General’s Advisor, Stephanie Williams, arrived in Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Saturday to discuss the situation in Libya with Egyptian and Arab League officials.

The spokesman for the UN Support Mission in Libya, Jean Alam, said the visit will continue through Sunday as Williams meets with officials in Egypt and Arab League representatives to push forward the Libyan political process.

He said the meetings are part of the coordinated international and regional support for the Libyan political process, including elections.

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister has earlier invited Williams to visit Moscow for talks on Libya and she is supposed to arrive in there on Monday after Turkey and Egypt's visits respectively.
